British Open Cut Line Projected at +4, Say Goodbye to Phil Mickelson
by CriticalFanatic
7/20/07

We don't have to worry about Phil Mickelson repeating his Scottish Open performance at Carnoustie, but he pulled a bit of a Van de Velde on the 18th today. Phil needed a par to remain in the hunt for weekend play, instead double-bogeyes his way onto a flight home.

After a 77 today, Lefty sits at +6. Other notables likely to fall to the cut line are: Geoff Ogilvy (+5), David Toms (+6), Charles Howell III (+7), John Daly (+8),  and just because I like to point out his failures Rory "Tiger's not so good" Sabbatini  (+8).

Meanwhile, Tiger actually isn't so good today. Now 3-over after double-bogeying the first. Still expect him to fight off the back nine with a pair of birdies.
