Chad Johnson Demands Trade to Different Elementary School Before the Draft
by CriticalFanatic

Chad Johnson's recess antics continue and Carson Palmer isn't buying any of it.

The Bengals QB told reporters this morning that, "(Johnson) will be there when he has to."

Disappointed with the lack of personal attention this week (I would suspect), Ocho Cinco decided to call up ESPN's John Clayton and confirm his wishes.
"I want to make this very clear,'' Johnson said Wednesday. "I don't know where he got that. I made no assertion to Carson that I would do that. Nothing has changed from what I've been saying for three months that I don't want to play for the Bengals.''

"I want to be traded before the draft, and if that doesn't happen, I want to be traded as soon as possible,'' Johnson said. "I don't intend on reporting to anything.''
I think we can safely assume Johnson won't be traded before draft, nor anytime shortly thereafter.

Receivers of his talent are hard to come by, but don't you do whatever you gain to get this mess/embarrassment/child off your hands? You're not going to win the AFC North anyway unless you improve your defense, so see if you can't get a couple high draft picks and move forward even if it the value doesn't match up on paper.

If I'm the Bengals there's no way I trade away Ocho Cinco.  He's too good, and I think its quite obvious by now that the team that trades away the disgruntled WR almost never benefits from it.

This is the popular argument but what's the point of having a good statistical receiver on a perennially bad team?  Trade him for a second or maybe even a first and start rebuilding.

He is coming to Dallas!!! Now we can have 2 GIANT EGO'S on the team, plus, on the real side, Chad going to Dallas would be perfect for him and T.O. both. Terry Glenn's future is uncertain, T.O. wont play much longer- which will make Chad the clear #1 WR in a few years. The combination of Chad and T.O. takes the double team off of both of them and free's up Witten even more in the middle.... Now if only these two cocky attitudes could gel together- that is the ulitimate question.

Does anybody really care at this point what Chad wants?  I am very disappointed in him.  I'm with Mike Willbon on this one.  He's a dope.  Hit the road.  I'll just have to peel those fatheads off my kids bedroom walls.

They bigger point is how much of a salary cap hit will the Bengals take if they do trade him. He had a new contract a few years ago. To me thats the biggest obstacle for the Bengals, plus wanting to strong arm him. I hope they dont trade his ass.

They would take a big hit.  Somewhere around 8 million.  I'd love to see him sit out and the Bengals take the AFC north.  I really don't think think they're that bad!  (yeah, I'm a little bias)

Am I the only one who doesn't think this will end up being that big of an issue?  I think we're all forgetting the ultimately, Chad is a good guy.  He'll show up to camp.  The Bengals should just concentrate on improving that O-line and defense - everything else will work out.

I don't know at this point.  He's played the good guy for a long time and he took a pounding in the local media last season.  I really didn't think it was fair.  Problem is he tells a different story everytime he talks now.  He said last week that he would show up and now he says he won't.  I think he's really making himself look like a punk right now.

I can understand being upset with the Bengals organization (hell, I've been pretty disappointed in them) but he is going about it like a dope!

I am just so tired of him complaining and trying to force a trade I hope he does not get what he wants. Man, that team was so close a few years ago then the players went arrest crazy. I tell ya they had a nice WR corps for a minute

Are you nuts? If I am a Cowboys fan there is no way I want that to happen. There is no coach or team in the world that can have those two on the same team... let alone a Wade Phillips coached team. I hope the Bengals make Chad sit out the next two years... then hopefully any contract he gets after that is way less than what he would have gotten this year. I know this can't happen but I can dare to dream.

Parcell's is going to scoop up Ocho-Cinco. He has a history of getting primadonna WRs. Keyshawn, T.O. It's his vice

That was the Bengals who turned down the trade.  Chad's gonna have to sit it out.
