PGA Championship Round 2 Live-Thread Photo"Caffeine + Nicotine = Protein"

That might be the quote of the year by John Daly, if not for this good sense of humor:
"Everybody's different," he explained of his less-is-more practice regimen. "I'm in better shape than Tiger."
Who knows how long Big John can keep this up. There's no doubt while others were hydrating on H20, Daly polished off a case of cigarettes and beer.

Tiger Woods shot a surprising +1. I say surprise because he played fairly well, just couldn't put down the stretch. I'm going to predict a 66 posting this afternoon.

Let's just hope John Daly's diet will keep him upright
for at least another round, because this is just too much fun with him around.
"I have no idea," he said. "There was odds with all the caddies and players this week who would fall first, me or my caddie, so we made it. We made 18 holes."
How can you not root for a golfer that's sponsored by Hooters? Feel free to discuss PGA Championship Round 2 right here.

Keep sucking down the D-Coke JD, you're in the lead before you've even tee'd off.

Tiger birdies the 1st!

Crowd is amazing right now for JD on the 10th (his 1st) tee. One of the only guys to pull out a driver.

Was there a poll for what the first round leaders would shoot today, and did I just miss looking for it? (Tiger=67 today, for -3 into the weekend!!)

He's gonna go down today, and hard! It's hot in the middle of the day and just horrible outside. I live in a suburb of Tulsa and I think it's 98 degrees and with humidty, probably feels like 103. I think he will have a tough day because he's out of shape.

+1 thumbs upAnd it won't get any cooler on the weekend. Predicted highs in Tulsa: Saturday - 102 and on Sunday - 104.

All the better for Tiger to grrroowwwl his way in front on Sat., and pull away on Sun.

(Not that I'm biased or anything!!)

JD is looking at another bogey on 11. uh oh.

I completely agree. He is in great shape. This could work totally in his favor

You and every other human that follow golf predicted this. But just the chance he doesn't is why he's so fun to watch.

Agreed. But do you really think he is focusing 100% on golf? Because I've heard he's staying at a casino in Tulsa.

True--you never know when the eruption will come (good--yesterday; or bad--???)

Tiger birdies the 4th. Now at -1

+1 thumbs upAnd when, exactly(outside of that first Major win at Crooked Stick) has JD EVER focused?
#20 | 333 days ago

Tiger's on the prowl!

El Tigre birdies the 5th. Now 3-under through 5 holes, 2-under overall. We may have underestimated his round with a 66.

64 the way Tiger is playing right now. Daly still at 2-over for the day and 1-under for the championship.

I don't have cable at home right now, so I'll have to read the paper in the morning, and see what damage El Tigre inflicted on the field!!
#26 | 333 days ago

Tiger took a step back ... bogeyed the 7th. Woods and Daly both at -1. Although Daly just sent one way off the fairway.
#27 | 333 days ago

Sergio just hit two bunker shots back into the same bunker. Excuse me while I continue laughing ... politely, of course.

12 people under par at this point, and only 4 have finished!!  Looks like Southern Hills is winning so far!!

Southern Hills is a tough course.

Tiger and Geoff Ogilvy are tied at -5. Ogilvy is stuck in the bunker on 17, Tiger stalking a birdie putt from 20 feet downhill, and Daly is playing up and down with a 3 foot birdie putt to get back to 1 under.

Oh and Tiger is gonna win this tournament.
