That might be the quote of the year by John Daly, if not for this good sense of humor:

"Everybody's different," he explained of his less-is-more practice regimen. "I'm in better shape than Tiger."

Who knows how long Big John can keep this up. There's no doubt while others were hydrating on H20, Daly polished off a case of cigarettes and beer.

Tiger Woods shot a surprising +1. I say surprise because he played fairly well, just couldn't put down the stretch. I'm going to predict a 66 posting this afternoon.

Let's just hope John Daly's diet will keep him upright for at least another round, because this is just too much fun with him around.

"I have no idea," he said. "There was odds with all the caddies and players this week who would fall first, me or my caddie, so we made it. We made 18 holes."
