Rory Sabbatini Will Find Out If Tiger Woods Is "As Beatable As Ever," Leads By 1 At Bridgestone
by CriticalFanatic
8/5/07

It may not be a major championship, but today's final round at Bridgestone has enough drama that should garner your attention.

Rory Sabbatini is in the final pairing with Tiger Woods.

Why is that a big deal? Well, Rory likes to run his mouth often, and in the direction of Tiger. Earlier this year at the Wachovia Championship, Sabbatini was paired with Woods in the final round and couldn't measure up, shooting a 74 to his 69. Championship to Tiger. Following that tournament, Sabbatini made the preposterous statement that Woods looked "as beatable as ever" and that he couldn't wait to get his next shot at him.

Today he has it. Naturally, he opened his mouth again:
"Tiger is the two-time defending champion here. He's won five times here. Somebody has to knock him down. ...

"Tiger has done a lot to deserve all the respect he has (but) there's always going to be that point where somebody beats you, so maybe tomorrow is my day. If you go into a tough situation and mentally you're always looking at yourself as second, you're going to be second. If you go in with the belief you're there to compete and you can do it, then you will."

Should be fun to watch Rory crumble again.

Good ol stupid Rory.

+4 for the day, -5 for Tiger.

You'd like to think he'd learn to keep his mouth shut if he wants any chance of beating Tiger.

Tiger Woods won the tournament with the only score under par. He was -8, Rose and Sabbatini were Even, and Lonard and DiMarco were +1. Sick.
