Bobby Knight Predictably Joins ESPN for NCAA Tournament Coverage
2/28/08
Outstanding news. Predictable, but still awesome.
Bobby Knight spend most of his coaching career critiquing those in the "media," and demanding a higher standard as seen above. So now that he's on the other side, I'm very much looking forward to the result.
As I've said often, I'm a big General fan despite his hypocritical ways (I suppose that makes me hypocritical fanatic), but I sure hope he has plenty of coach questions ready over the next month. Otherwise, Digger and crew owe it to rip him a new one.
Bobby appropriately had this to say:
"I think ESPN has been real good for college basketball and I look forward to working with some of their people who I have known a long time."
But really, good move for ESPN. Knight is a sound bite waiting to happen and with all eyes on college basketball over the next month I expect many a good moment stemming from his large, awfully blunt and honest mouth.
Is it March yet?
