College Dunk Contest: Sonny Weems Wins, But Patrick Ewing Jr. Throws Down the Best Slam
>7 days ago
It wouldn't be a dunk contest if the individual with the best dunk didn't win. The College competition that took place last night in San Antonio was no different.
Arkansas' Sonny Weems won with this dunk above, although his free throw (just a hair inside) a la Michael Jorrdan/Julius Irving was impressive.
Weems fortunately defeated the hometown fraud, Will Bullard of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He had one dunk, and that was to jump over a buddy standing just in front of the rim. But there was one little catch the judges failed to acknowledge -- he continuously used his right to push off and get a little higher. Weak.
The best dunk of the night, by far, belonged to Patrick Ewing Jr. of Georgetown.
Behind the back, with the left. Yes, sir.
