Great Comeback, Not Great Enough Finish
At least a half-dozen times I told myself this game, series was over only to flip back and consider a possible comeback attempt by the Utah Jazz.
Down 19 at the half and 16 at the end of the third quarter Utah kept fighting. Impressive work, and managed to turn what was a blowout into a wildly entertaining final four minutes.
Even after Kobe Bryant did his "You can't stop me" back to back three point plays (video below) that should have been the dagger, the Jazz got to within three points in the final seconds setting up this last sequence.
Easy for me say on my couch, but you'd have liked to see Memhet Okur realize that Kyle Korver was open for the give-and-go, wide open, and a much better shooter at that. Instead, Okur heaved a lengthy three that wasn't out of his range but certainly not as good a look as Korver would have had. Another Deron Williams miss and it was over.
Great game and series. Let's hope we see a Paul vs Bryant Western Conference Finals.
