Wow, You Really Showed Him

I don't hide the fact my hatred for all things Maize and Blue runs deep. It's a gene I inherited and one I embrace daily. Thus, it's little surprise my highlight of the 2007 college football season was the same as many of yours: Appalachian State's victory in the Big House on opening weekend.
The Wolverines redeemed themselves with a solid Big Ten season and represented the conference well by tearing up the Florida Gators in the Citrus Bowl. That said, it didn't take away Michigan lost to D-1AA Appalachian State... at home.
Smugness can bite you in the ass.
Among those trying to forget about the loss and doing his best to get over the embarrassment is Washington Redskins offensive tackle Jon Jansen.
Sports by Brooks shares the Jansen is making a rookie Mountie carry his helmet throughout training camp.
Wow, you really got him. This week, Brown is among a slew of roster hopefuls who might as well be called hair because there is a good chance they will be cut.
But I figured that after beating Michigan, Brown must think that anything’s possible. I walked over and introduced myself, but when I extended my hand, I noticed his were both holding helmets.
“This one’s Jon Jansen’s,” Brown said, referring to the Redskins’ veteran tackle who is a–gulp–Michigan alum. “He came over to me and said, ‘Hey, rook. Carry my helmet. Where’s Appalachian State now?’”
Hey, rook, why don't you share this video with your buddy one more time (yes, just an excuse to post this again).
