Lou Holtz's Nebraska Pep Talk; Should Work As Well As Michigan's Last Week
by CriticalFanatic

I'm starting to like these Lou Holtz Pep Talks. They're a confidence booster in making my weekend picks. Certainly you remember Lou's Michigan pep talk last week. Well, turns out Lloyd Carr's wife ran off with the drummer and he didn't respond all that well.

This week Lou's task is to motivate the Nebraska Cornhuskers. WIN, Lou says, stands for What's Important Now. Oh, and I liked Lou telling the Huskers they had no obligation to keep this game close. That's good, because the Trojans are going to come into the largest city in Nebraska on gameday and roll.

We're going to start keeping track of how well Lou's Pep Talks work, I figure that will be a fun game between you and I.

Nebraska had better hope Sam Keller doesn't get picked off 5 times like he did the last time he faced USC.

Good Ol' Lou Holtz. I feel bad ripping him all the time since he did pick Oklahoma to win the National Title, but Lou never disappoints us with his "pep talks"

I know I am going to get killed for this but I actually like the pep talks.  It gives us a the viewer a chance to see what coaches actually say to their team before they take the field.  Pretty cool idea but the WWL.

I like the pep talks too. They wouldn't get me fired up, but I do enjoy them.

I also don't get the whole lisp thing. For starters, I don't hear it. And secondly, if I did hear it, I wouldn't think it was funny.

These are definitely entertaining. While Lou is fun to poke fun at, I certainly hope these continue all season.

I am in no way a USC fan, but I don't see Nebraska winning. I hope I'm wrong, for the Pac-10's sake.

USC needs the win for the PAC 10. Nebraska needs it for legitimacy. This is a good year for NU. I hate to say, it will be 2 more years before they are true contenders. The quarterback situation is annoying. Sr. this year, probably a red-shirt freshman next year. They need a young QB to develop instead of these onsey twoseys.

USC may win the Pac-10, but I'm tired of the Trojans having a chokehold on our conference.

Am I the only one that thinks UCLA is easier to spell than USC? Sometimes USC can be confusing if someone mumbles while UCLA is straight forward.
