When I was a punter in college, I used to warm up for a game by drinking whiskey out of a hip flask while having real players shag my punts, so pretty much nothing phases me in terms of athletes doing weird things to get themselves ready for games.

But this warm-up routine from Busted Coverage was definitely different than a lot of other routines I've seen over the years. It's Maria Sharapova throwing a football, which is apparently a motion that closely mimics her serve. Hey, sounds good to me. I've never been a huge Maria Sharapova fan, as I prefer women not to be two feet taller than me, but if she can throw the pigskin around she gets bonus points.

By the way, I think other athletes should use strange warm-up training techniques to improve their games. I'd like to suggest great white shark diving for Bruce Bowen.
