Marvin Williams Hard Foul on Rajon Rondo`

If You're Going Foul Somone, This Certainly Is A Way To Make Sure the Shot Doesn't Get Off

by CriticalFanatic CriticalFanatic | >7 days ago9 Comment Comments »

If it was Falcons linebacker Demorrio Williams laying out Tom Brady in the open field this would have been wildly applauded.

Instead it was Marvin Williams and Rajon Rondo on the basketball court. That's a hell of a take down.

Marvin still contends he didn't mean to flagrantly foul his friend.
"Rajon and I have been friends since high school," Williams said afterward. "So he knows that I wasn't trying to do anything but keep him from getting an easy layup. That's it. But I'm not a dirty player. I was trying to catch him with my left arm and hold him up but when he jumped, he jumped right into my arm. But anybody that knows anything about me knows that I'm not that type of player."

"But once I got back here to the locker room and saw the replay on TV, it did look pretty bad, so I can't argue that call."

You think? Just a little bad.

Unfortunately this was the only sizzle in a 34-point blowout Game Seven.

How bout KG's questionable pick on Zaza Pachulia?  How does Dirk get this horrible reputation of being soft but KG doesn't?  He has really come off as a punk in this series.

I know the league is just itching to lay out a one game suspension and I am sure that was the deterrent, but can you believe not one person on that Celtic bench stepped out on the floor!

Clean Pick plain and simple. Zaza has gotta keep his head up.

Heres a link to the video.

Clearly it wasn't or else it wouldn't have been a foul.  He obviously lowered his shoulder into him.  That said, its not so much the pick that angers me as much as the whole series of events.  The first cheap shot at Pachulia in game 4, then backing down when Zaza confronts him only to to shove Eddie Rush away, and then taking this shot at Pachulia.

I guess Rondo just earned his karma for poking the opposition in the eye in college.

Are you kidding?? Just because the refs say its a foul it is?? And Tim Donaghy is a good ref right??? Come on. KG was standing their and Zaza was trying to be the great team players and cover Rando (who is much quicker) and he kept his head down. Its his and his teammates fault that no one called out the pick. If you watch the video KG doesn't move at all. Shouldn't have been foul, and wasn't a dirty play.

Frustration foul. His teams getting eliminated, they're grown men, stop crying and understand how much hard work and passion goes into every NBA season.
