Melvin Mora Home Run Hits Top Of Foul Pole

"One-In-A-Billion Shot"
7/19/08
For Melvin Mora, just hitting anything this season has been a challenge. A .340 hitting in 2004, Mora's .237 average is impressing no one this season, particularly those in attendance at Camden Yards.
The Orioles third basemen was able to impress everyone in Baltimore Friday night, including the opposing Tigers.
In the bottom of the sixth, Mora pulled an Armando Galarraga pitch way down the left field line, arcing just enough to come down on top, yes, on top of the foul pole.
A "one-in-a-billion shot" said Tigers Matt Joyce.
Mister Irrelevant prefers to just name the pole after him. Mora Pole. We approve.
