NBA Adds D-League H-O-R-S-E To All-Star Weekend
by CriticalFanatic
1/17/08

Henry Abbott of True Hoops breaks the news that H-O-R-S-E is coming back to NBA All-Star Weekend.

"For years, bloggers and others (or maybe just bloggers) have been wishing that All-Star Weekend would involve a H-O-R-S-E competition.

I talked to the head of the NBA's D-League, Dan Reed, today (more on that later), and he told me the excellent news that this All-Star Weekend's Friday night festivities will include a D-League H-O-R-S-E competition. An official role of the D-League is to experiment with things the NBA is considering doing.

So I hope that H-O-R-S-E contest works out swimmingly."

I think we had one of those intelligent bloggers clammoring for H-O-R-S-E's return right here. Oh right, we did.

Unfortunately, the contest will never live up to Pistol Pete's exploits above. I can't watch this video enough.

Hopefully the NBA takes into consideration that it's the D-League they're going to have on display which is filled with very athletic, talented players that have failed to fine tune the fundamentals of consistent shooting.

I'll take Steve Nash against anyone in the league? Who would you take? (Let's hope David Stern's figures this out before Nash retires)

The first NBA H-O-R-S-E competition should have Nash, Kobe, Ray Allen, and Michael Red. Those are four of the best shooters in the league right now.

God that would be fun... Allen and Redd don't get enough recognition for how good they are, so it'd be great exposure for those two.
