Original 1987 One Shining Moment: Indiana Hoosiers Championship
>7 days ago
Kansas or Memphis will get their One Shining Moment later this evening, 21 years after the original version was played in 1987 after the Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Syracuse Orange(men).
The classic montage, written by David Barrett, has become the anthem for the NCAA Tournament but was originally made for Super Bowl XXI.
In case you've only heard the story 1,000 times, here's another interview with Barrett explaining the odd circumstances that led to writing this song.
It's cheesy, but would we really want to end another Championship Monday without it? No. We'll post a few more of our favorite shining moments throughout the day.
Looking forward to seeing the Ty Rogers buzzer beat one last time.
