Patriots Media Day: Ines Gomez-Mont (In A Wedding Dress) Asks Tom Brady To Marry Her
by CriticalFanatic
1/29/08

A few random unimportant notes from watching the Patriots media day coverage ...

Highlight Ines Gomez-Mont (yes, there are two hot Ines's), donned a wedding dress and begged Tom Brady to marry her. "Marry me now, Tom! Say, yes! I'm the real Mrs. Brady!"

Credit Tom for his response: "I got a few Mrs. Bradys in my life."

Here's some more of our new friend, Ines in action at TV Azteca:

Update: Gomez Mont struck out with Eli Manning as well. "I'm taken."

Less talented Patriots occupy themselves with the best media talent.
Great eye contact Chad Scott (30).

Laurence Maroney delivers
After his post-Chargers win interview, you had to know the Patriots running back would have some fun on Media Day.  He tried to show of his Spanish with a reporter. 'Tried' being the key word.
LM: I know Spanish real good...you ready? You ready?
Reporter: I'm ready.
LM: I mean, because I know Spanish. You sure you're ready?
Reporter: Yes.
LM: Okay, here I go...Hola! Estoy bien! Televista!
Reporter: Can you say, "El Super Bowl esta aqui?"
LM: Naw, I ain't gonna remember all that. That's a lot.
Wes Welker still can't get any love One of the NFL's leaders in receptions gets stuck in the stands with Steve Marriucci. Possession receivers get no love.

Lastly, I appreciated the roaming NFL Network cameraman's attention to detail.

How much love does Wes Welker really deserve?  He's a number 3 reciever.

Since no one else apparently wants Miss Gomez-Mont, I'll gladly take her.

On 18-0 teams they do.  He catches 60-70 passes tops on any normal team.

Actually, he's more of the #2 than Stallworth is & he tied for the league lead in receptions.  I don't care if you're listed as the right guard or who you play for -- that's good!

Not to mention, the guy is great on special teams too....he's a very good football player.

But he plays the slot, and thats all he is - a slot reciever.  He gained a ton of catches because (especially) Moss and Stallworth stretched the field for him.  He's the best slot reciever in the game, but he's still a slot reciever.
