Pistol Pete Plays H-O-R-S-E with NBA Players

Great old clip of Pistol Pete Maravich schooling some NBA legends in a game of H-O-R-S-E. Newest addition to All Star Weekend? What do you think?

Throw some hip-hop in the background, and I think the NBA has itself an entertaining new twist for All Star Saturday Night.

You know who's winning it? Steve Nash.

As much as I like Nash, today's athletes throwin' down 360's might present a problem.

3 apostrophes in a relatively short sentence.

No dunks in H-O-R-S-E. No way.

And yes, your apostrophe laden sentence was impressive.

Pistol Pete was always really impressive.  When he was a kid he didn't go anywhere with out a basketball.  It's still sad to realize the guy died so young because of a heart defect.

oh and no one has even come close. 47 ppg in college, with a 3 point line...that average is over 50. plus he had 15 less games in a season. best shooter and showman the game has ever seen.

I've always enjoyed the question -- Which athlete would you go back in time to watch in person (that was before your time)?

My answer is always Pistol Pete without any hesitation (Jim Brown and Gale Sayers always in the back of my mind)

i completely agree with you and with your rb's there. gale sayers could've been the best rb ever if he were not injured. it's a shame how much injuries can take a toll on such great players and their impact.
