Stephon Marbury's Head Tattoo Of His Shoe Line

That Tattoo May Just Prevent Stephon Marbury From Having A Future In Broadcasting

You may remember on Sunday that we wrote about how Stephon Marbury made the curious decision to get a tattoo of the symbol of his shoe line on the side of his head. Strange, yes, but I guess it's an automatic conversation starter, which naturally leads to this response from Starbury "Buy my shoes!"

Anyway, no one was quite sure what it looked like, since Starbury hadn't been photographed with it. Well, no longer. Luckily, the NBA somehow got Starbury to speak with announcers during the Cleveland Cavaliers/New York Knicks summer league game in Vegas. Having been to Vegas a number of times myself, it'd only be the truth to say that Starbury's tattoo is a bit on the conservative side for that town. Maybe that's why they figured it'd be all right to get him on TV.

By the way, I can't be the only person who immediately thought of this guy when I heard about Starbury's strange tattoo decision.

Yes, nothing says you're a winner like a head tattoo. I mean, isn't everyone you know that's a winner got a head tattoo? No? Well, I don't know what to say. You must live in the wrong town.

I'm pretty sure the tattoo won't keep him from being a successful broadcaster.  He's had plenty of experience being unsuccessful before the tattoo.

I actually think having a broadcaster with a head tattoo would be awesome. It'd be perfect conversation material.

So Jim, where'd you get that tattoo?

Funny story Mike. I was really hammered and in Vegas, so I thought, why not?

That banter could easily get me watching even a Miami Heat/Minnesota Timberwolves game.

Sadly, not even a tattoo, or the story behind a tattoo of Mother Theresa punching Richard Dawson, while Felix the Cat is on a Harley doing in front of Graceland could carry me through a Heat/T-Wolves game.
