Tennessee Out-Scraps Memphis To Become New #1 In College Hoops
by CriticalFanatic CriticalFanatic | >7 days ago
A brief roundup of college hoops ...

Tennessee 66, Memphis 62 I guess I'm going to have to keep being that idiot who still isn't buying the Vols even with their #1 ranking. The first 5-6 minutes of this game were as entertaining as any this year. Lights out shooting turned the game into an 11-11 race before the first TV timeout, then was all scrap the rest of the way. Tennessee got all the rebounds (46-31) and even more loose balls. That was your game. Well, that and Memphis lost the inability to shoot in the second half. By the way, is there a bigger tool in college hoops (outside of Duke) than Joey Dorsey? Has he ever backed up any of his talk? 1 point and 6 rebounds for the mental midget. I will concede that it was an impressive win for the Vols, but I still stand by an early tournament exit prediction.

Oklahoma State 61, Kansas 60 Byron Eaton, known best for that ridiculous three-pointer last year, will now be known for almost single-handedly helping the Cowboys beat the #5 Jayhawks and maybe save his coach's job. Big assist the crowd, as well. Not going to make too much of this on KU's end. Still have the best depth right now in the country and will finish the Big 12 strong.

Russell Westbrook ... HELLO UCLA 75, Oregon 65.

There were plenty of other matchups worth noting, but I'll let you take care of those reactions below.
