Terrible Towel Inventor Myron Cope Drops Not-So-Dope Rhymes

This Is Why The Pittsburgh Pirates Are The Worst Franchise In Sports

by 100%InjuryRate 100%InjuryRate | >7 days ago5 Comment Comments »

You may have read that article on Fox Sports yesterday that listed the worst franchises in pro sports. Coming in at #1 was the Pittsburgh Pirates.

That admittedly seemed a bit unfair to me, until I saw this video. Then everything made perfect sense.

By the way, the dude in the video is Myron Cope, inventor of the Terrible Towel and the famed voice of the Steelers (although I'm not sure why).

The Hammer pants, however, I cannot speak for.

+6 thumbs upYou do NOT speak ill of the Cope!
You are dead to me!  Dead!
Admittedly, it does sound like a bag of cats drowning in transmission fluid.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I remember this video, hard to believe it was 16 years ago.  Everyone knew Myron Cope couldn't carry a tune, but his songs were hilarious.

+2 thumbs upI believe this video had a bigger budget than most hip-hop videos at the time. Compare it to Fresh Prince's 'Parent's Just Don't Understand'. Must've been directed by that person that did C & C Music Factory videos.
