The 1988 Eagles "Buddy's Watching You" Abomination Rap

This video comes courtesy of Ballhype and it's pretty mind blowing. It's the 1988 Eagles rap song "Buddy's Watching You." And it's just an absolute nightmare.

It's got such greats as Reggie White, QB Eagles, and Luis Zendejas dropping, uh, not-so-dope rhymes on us. Um, who the hell is Luis Zendejas? He was the kicker on the team, and his segment may be the worst rap in the history of Western civilization.

I'm not sure what happened in the 1980s involving football teams and music videos, but it was like a disease. Guilty parties include the Bears, Rams, Seahawks, Dolphins, and the Glasgow Diamonds. If you don't know who the Glasgow Diamonds are, click on that link NOW.

So anyway, enjoy the tight beats of the Eagles as you lounge around tonight. Just please don't kill yourself in the process.

Jerome Brown R.I.P.

 

A great player at Miami and was pretty good in the pros, but Mr. Brown will always live on in my mind thanks to his memorable quote from the 1987 Fiesta Bowl. When at a dinner for both teams. The Canes had been a little chapped about PSU. Feeling they were mocking Jimmy Johnson. So Mr. Brown walked up to the podium and uttered:

 

"Did the Japanese sit down with Pearl Harbor before they bombed them? "

 

And then the team walked out. That was pure gold. Sure they lost to PSU, but still gold.
