UCLA Advances but Western Kentucky Also Wins
3/28/08
* Standing applause for the Hilltoppers *
I'm not a fan of moral victories in sports, but there are a few exceptions. Western Kentucky had no business being with 4 points of UCLA with 6:00 left. Even less, when you factor in that the Hilltoppers were down 21 points at halftime and refused to go down that way.
Tyrone Brazelton would have kept playing all night, as long as it took to wear the Bruins down and finally get the win. 31 points on 6-for-10 shooting from three-point range.
Kevin Love was the one player they couldn't answer. Outrebounded 49-33, Love was responsible for most of that. 29 points (10-for-14), 14 rebounds and four very important assists. KevLuv is going to be a very, very solid pro. I can't figure how he's still borderline Top 10. I don't even think the Bulls could screw that one up.
