Wash-UCLA: Tim Morris Drills Alfred Aboya In The Face With Inbounds Pass
by CriticalFanatic

It's not uncommon to see the inbounds passer throw the ball of an opponent in desperation as the 5-second violation nears. However, it is a little odd (and hilarious) to see the ball thrown directly at the guy's face with gusto. Hey, whatever works right?

Video also provides Slow-Mo goodness at the end.

We're guessing Tim Morris has a lot of new friends in the land of Troy.

Gawd that was funny.  And he did it in front of the UCLA bench, too!  HA!

It's not like he gave him a chest pass to the kisser. It was a full fledged fastball.

Credit the UCLA bench of some composure. They hardly moved.

Thats got to hurt.  Hilarious, but definitely a dirty move.  If he didn't take a few extra shots during the game UCLA didn't do their jobs as teammates.

I found it surprising that everyone would get so mad at this. Where is the one place that you can throw it where it will not only go back out of bounds so your teams keeps the ball but also won't hit you and the guy won't be able to grab it. The face/head is the place. It also backs the guy up and give the thrower more room to make the pass in bounds. I think it was a smart play.

Oh I have been there, but replace opposing player with teammate, and replace face with the family jewels.

Back many moons ago while riding pine on the JV team it was a game that was well in hand since I was in the game. We were in no danger of losing. It started off innocent enough it was just a simple inbounds play and I was coming back for the ball when the guy defending the in-bounder just all of a sudden steps out of the way. Very shortly I found out why he moved away as my teammate reared back and let loose. Sadly he did not through the change up. Hits me goes out of bounds and as I hit the deck I see players from my team on the ground laughing and a few people in the stands rolling around.

So Mr. Aboya it could have been worse.

That teammate and I still friends somehow, even with him nearly separating my shoulder the next year during tackling drill.
