It is college football at its finest. For three weeks in a row, the Top 10 has been flip flopped again. # 1 Oklahoma losing to # 5 Texas. # 3 Missouri losing at home to # 17 Oklahoma State. # 4 LSU losing to # 11 Florida in the Swamp. If you didn't know by now, the last three weeks should have taught you that anything can happen in college football. The question right now is, who moves into the top 5 spots? Let's take a look.
# 1. Alabama - Probably the luckiest of the Top 5 teams, Alabama was idle on Saturday and watched as #'s 1, 3, and 4 lost. Although Texas beat Oklahoma 45-35, they were 170 points behind Alabama for # 2 in the AP Poll, 150 points behind them in the Coaches Poll, and 40 points behind them in the Harris Poll (The last two polls are factored in for the BCS Standings). The difference between the two puts Alabama in the # 1 spot for the time being, but only slightly.
# 2. Texas - With an exceptional win against # 1 Oklahoma, the Longhorns move up to # 2 in the nation. Colt McCoy had a magnificent game and brought Texas back multiple times to finally overtake the Sooners in the fourth quarter and hold on for the win. Next up, it doesn't get any easier. The Longhorns have to take on a vicious Missouri team who is coming off a loss to Oklahoma State and is looking for vengeance.
# 3. Penn State - One of the most dominating wins from the weekend was by the Nittany Lions. Joe Pa's boys went into Camp Randall Stadium and proceeded to blow Wisconsin out of the water on their home field 41-7. They await Ohio State in two weeks in a matchup that will virtually decide the Big Ten Championship.
# 4. USC - The first one-loss team to sneak back into the title picture is USC. They blanked Arizona State this weekend 28-0 and, with help from a Texas Tech team who very nearly coughed up a win at home against Nebraska, jump up to the # 4 spot this week. If all goes well and USC can walk through what is left of the Pac 10, which is very possible thanks to a fairly favorable schedule and the unfavorable schedules of the teams in front of them, they very well could be in the National Championship game at the end of all this.
# 5. Texas Tech - Although they almost lost at home to Bo Pelini's Cornhuskers on Saturday, Texas Tech's defense stood up when it counted, and their offense was dominant as usual putting up 37 points in a 37-31 win in overtime. However, the Red Raiders start a streak of four games against Top 25 teams in just two weeks against Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma. Rough road for the Raiders.
There you have it. My Top 5 for week 7. Feel free to leave any comments and give your arguements as to why your team should be ranked higher or another team should be ranked lower.

#4 LSU will go to the Swamp to play #11 Florida in yet another enormous game between two high-ranked teams. Oklahoma already lost to Texas, so LSU has a chance to move up at least one spot with a win here. Erin Andrews sure hopes that her buddy Tim Tebow can pull through for the Gators, who are favored by nearly a TD, despite their lower ranking.

60% of FanIQ picked the Gators, but the consensus is that it will be a close one (average score prediction: Florida 25.6, LSU 23.9).

Good evening NASCAR friends. As you can tell, I'm not Kramer, but I am filling in for him today. Tonight we have the Bank of America 500, which hopefully won't need a bailout before its conclusion. But more seriously, let's get to the specifics.
As many of you know, Jimmie Johnson dominates the track that's branded with his sponsor's name. He's won here at Lowe's Motor Speedway 5 times in his career. And, truth be told, with tonight's race and the 5 more remaining after it, the Chase may be more or less over. That's because we're reaching a stretch were Johnson dominates. After tonight, the Chase heads to two more places where Johnson has been almost equally unstoppable - Martinsville (four wins) and Atlanta (three wins).
Even worse news for the field is that since qualifying for the Bank of America 500 was rained out on Thursday, the starting positions are determined by points. So yeah, you've got Johnson starting #1 on a track he rules. If you're wondering who I'm picking to win, here's a hint, it's Jimmie Johnson.
Here are Kramer's picks as well, one of which may look somewhat similar.
Pick: Jimmie Johnson - Picking against Jimmie Johnson is like picking the Rams to win the Super Bowl this year.
Dark Horse: Brian Vickers - If he can ever finish a race at Lowe's he could win it. The last 2 Coke 600s he's been leading early and found trouble before the halfway point of the race.
All right everyone, let's go racing!

If you think this is unbiased, you're mistaken. Just look at the pictures. Yes, it's not only pictures from prior games, it's a prediction for this one:

Game 2 of the ALCS will be Josh Beckett taking the mound for the Red Sox against Scott Kazmir of the Rays. The Red Sox won the first game 2-0, and are looking to continue their playoff dominance on the road. They are 3-0 so far away from Fenway Park, and have pulled off amazing turnarounds against teams that had beaten up on them in the regular season, and at venues where they were unsuccessful in the regular season. They were 1-8 against the Angels, and beat them in 4 games. They were 1-8 in the regular season at Tropicana Field, and opened the ALCS with a win there.
57% of FanIQ are mistakenly picking the Rays to win this one. I am among the 43% who will be correct, when the Red Sox win 3-1.

In what was one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the year outside OSU-USC, the 5th-ranked Texas Longhorns came away with a victory over #1 Oklahoma, 45-35.While the game was a competitive, hard-fought battle, it was marred by several poor calls by the referees. Several plays were wrongly called roughing the passer and late hits on Texas QB Colt McCoy, who did his best Manu Ginobili impersonation a few times. Oklahoma punter Mike Knall must have seen what was going on, and decided to try the same thing, since it was working so well for McCoy. The resulting penalty gave the Sooners a first down, instead of being forced to punt, and they responded with a TD.
However, the most controversial call came with about a minute and a half left in the 3rd quarter. McCoy threw what looked like an interception in the end zone by Lamont Robinson, but what called an incomplete pass, setting up a Texas FG:
The Longhorns took their first lead of the game there, and would go on to win by 10. This was definitely a pivotal play, and swung momentum heavily in favor of Texas.
The rankings will now shift around quite a bit, and some people think Texas will move up all the way to #1. It definitely legitimizes their current ranking, since they had only beaten bad teams before this game.Oklahoma has been the victim of controversial calls in the past as well, including a loss to Oregon 2 years ago that resulted in several suspensions.
Where do you put Texas in your rankings now? Obviously it depends on how Mizzou and LSU do in their games, but this was definitely a big game for the Longhorns.
