Hockey Players On A Billboard In Downtown Toronto For Smirnoff Ice

This May Be The Most Exciting Thing Maple Leafs Fans See All Year
10/11/08
If you live in Toronto, you may have recently wandered downtown and said to yourself, "Why is there stuff moving on that billboard?"
Well, in effort to try and get fans excited about the NHL season - and help to get as many people drunk as possible - the Toronto Maple Leafs put a couple of hockey players up on a giant Smirnoff Ice billboard and had them play a game of vertical hockey. It's definitely as weird as it sounds. At least the rules are interesting though. If you get caught committing a penalty, they cut your rope.
And just so you know, this isn't the first time we've had vertical sports played on billboards. We've also had soccer.
Personally, I'm waiting for billboard jai alai. That would be pretty awesome.
