Worst Soccer Dive Ever By Emerson Acuna Of Colombia’s Atletico National
Apparently There Are Worse Refs Out There Than The Ones In The NFL [Worst Soccer Dive Ever]

People sometimes ask me, "100%, why do you have such a problem with soccer?" You mean besides the fact that it's a sport played by commie pinko sissies who smell bad and never score? Well, nothing really. Oh, except for the diving. I absolutely hate the diving. Nothing, NOTHING, pisses me off more than guys who try and steal a penalty kick by taking a dive.

So, in other words, the guy in the video above is officially on my personal hit list. He's Emerson Acuna of Colombia’s Atletico National. Not only is he about two yards offsides, but he falls down without a defender anywhere near him...and the ref awards him a penalty kick.

And you thought NFL refs sucked.

In all honesty, I'm not sure who to hate more. Acuna for executing the worst dive in soccer history, or the ref for actually perpetuating this damn scourge. As long as crap like this is in the game, it'll never make it here in America. We only like our actors on the movie screen.

Also, I'm afraid that the above video finally surpassed what had previously been the worst dive in soccer history in my opinion.

Somehow it just feels wrong that the worst dive in soccer is no longer held by an Italian.

That's also why I hate Manu Ginobili. He's cut from the same cloth as these idiots.

Ya, as if acting up for fouls doesnt happen in other sports.  Basketball is the obvious mention.  I've seen it in football when QBs or Kickers/Punters act up being touched to draw the flag.  9 times out of 10 when someone takes a dive like that they will be yellow carded for diving, as in the second clip.  It's such a frustrating American mentality to disown soccer because you can't understand it....and then to attach 4th grade insults like, "it's gay! it's for sissies!"  Grow up and admit you don't like it because you don't understand it.  That's a perfectly acceptable answer and you really won't lose your manhood by doing so.  Take rugby for example, I don't like rugby.  Why?  Because when I watch it, I don't know what to look for, I don't know what I'm seeing....I don't understand it.  I'm sure rugby is a great sport, I get the general principle of it but I don't understand the overall flow/tactics of the game or all the little things.  Soccer is a hell of a lot more physical than you can even imagine and I can personally vouch for that as I have broken both bones in my lower right arm and lower right leg, in half, playing soccer.

I think that most of it comes from where you were raised.  In the US our parents weren't exposed to soccer from a young age, so they don't pass that passion down.  Spend a few months overseas and you will see it is in the very fabric of society.  Some people compare hockey to soccer, as far as the scoring goes.  Ask a most Canadians, they love hockey because the passion is taught from birth.  I was never a soccer fan growing up but the military stationed me overseas and I have grown to love it.

Another problem in the US is the class divide when it comes to soccer.  You would be hard pressed to find soccer at most schools in poor districts, which make up the majority of schools in this country.
