New look Knicks welcome Wizards to MSG

(Sports Network) - The New York Knicks shook up their roster on Friday with an eye on the future, but still have to play Saturday when the struggling Washington Wizards make the short drive up I-95 to face the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

In separate deals, the Knicks traded their two leading scorers, forward Zach Randolph and guard Jamal Crawford, before a 104-87 loss to Milwaukee.

Randolph, who was averaging 20.5 points, was shipped to the Los Angeles Clippers along with reserve guard Mardy Collins for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas while Crawford, who averaged 19.6 in New York, was sent to Golden State for forward Al Harrington.

None of the new acquisitions are expected to be available Saturday.

Milwaukee's Charlie Villanueva scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Bucks in a 104-87 victory over the Knicks on Friday.

Chris Duhon had 20 points and Nate Robinson gave 19 and 10 rebounds for New York, which has dropped three straight. David Lee had 13 points and 12 boards, while Wilson Chandler tallied 13 points in defeat.

Meanwhile, enigmatic guard Stephon Marbury, refused to play in the game despite being given the opportunity for the first time this season.

The Wizards fell for the ninth time in 10 games Friday when Houston's Tracy McGrady scored 14 of his team-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Rockets woke up from a lackluster start to upend Washington, 103-91, at the Verizon Center.

Antawn Jamison carried Washington with 27 points and 10 rebounds but was a non-factor in the final quarter.

Andray Blatche had 14 points, while Caron Butler finished with 12 points and seven boards in the loss.

The Knicks beat the Wizards 114-108 on November 7 and have won four of their last five meetings with Washington.
