Having family in Oklahoma & having spent a considerable time of my life in the state, I hesitate to put this poll up with some of you fools out there who have probably never been through the state that will bash it relentlessly. However, it seems like a fun idea & I'm sure FanIQ will not disappoint.....

Pick a nickname for the new Oklahoma City NBA franchise.... The SuperSonics will be staying with the city of Seattle.

For an added bonus...throw in what you would have as a mascot to go with your nickname & if you want, what should the team colors be, logos, theme musics....etc? You are the owner and the whole marketing strategy is at your fingertips....

Before all you ~~jackasses~~ commodians comment, remember RedNecks, TrailerTrash, Honkeys, MethHeads, TwoTeeths, Rodeo Clowns, Barebackers, & the Mobile Homers have already been tossed out.... so save it for another day. Haha

It connects us with our oil industry, and Clay Bennett has said privately that he wanted a nickname that ended in an "s" instead of a singular name like Thunder, which I do not like because it lacks originality. The colors should be black and gold, or black and silver. The mascot should be a JR Ewing look-a-like who acts like Cowboy's baron, Jerry Jones on the sidelines. Enter the poll to see my answer

#11 \| 81 days ago Michael (+)	+4 Having lived in Tulsa for four years and traveling with my dad in his four state territory(Texas, Oklahoma, LA, Ark.) I am fully aware that OK has a huge Oil Industry. I think linking to that would be a good thing, so: Oklahoma Roughnecks (this would bring in the whole state not just the city, like Carolina Panthers bring in No. and So. Carolina w/just Carolina). The colors should be Orange and Black which are bold and strong like roughnecks. I could see an Oil Derrick on the uniforms and of course the mascot could be a super-ab guy for the girls in an sexy oil roughneck outfit and the guys would get the Oil Field Sweeties in "Modiefied Roughneck" attire. I REALLY hope they don't do the "Oklahoma City" thing... because almost nothing is going to sound decent with that. Let's just go with Oklahoma...
